Look another one trapped in Europe after WWI broke outt.

Hstd sources have him out of Hstd in 1894, though in the early through 1902 or 1903. (Various newspaper articles linking him to Amshell in early 1900s: https://archives.post-gazette.com/search/#query=devay&dr_year=1880-1910&offset=38)

He married Tillie in Ohio 10/1/1901 (the two Davidovitz brothers married the two Wertheimer sisters!). He had a hotel in McKees Rocks at the time. Seems pretty clear he was married to her for the rest of his life, what with both couples always living together, &c. This guy is surely not who was married to Hermina.

1914 passport application says moved to Cleveland in 1902 (though I believe there is a 1903 Pgh-area newspaper mention for him).

2/15/1902: I wonder if Herminie Devai (36) and Morris Devai are right? Watchmaker doesn’t fit. Is this a brother? Morris, Mike, Martin?! If Herminie is 36 in 1902, Martin is 34.
1910 census: Martin married to Tillie 9 years (first child is 6); Maurice married to Josie 11 years. Both manufacturing shirts. Both say first marriage.
Martin claims to have been in Braddock/Pgh area. Maurice’s chronology on passport appl says only Ohio places. Can find neither in 1900 census. How would Tillie have a daughter in NYC.

[Martin Davidovitz = Martin Devay! We know that Martin Devay was in the Pgh area since quite early, but was it this guy? First city dir 1892. Says Braddock 1894. Devay bought seats 1901. Never in cash book, tho. Need to figure out basic facts about him like when married?]
